Israeli court rules: Journalistic immunity for both info and source
Ruling came in case of photographer Miriam Tzahi, who refused to hand over to the police photographs of a protest, saying this would harm immunity of sources who invited her to the scene.
Journalistic immunity in Israel will no longer merely cover the identity of the source of information but also the information itself which, when transferred, might reveal the identity of the source. The High Court of Justice handed down a ruling to this effect at the end of last week.
