The success of a new book aimed at helping ultra-Orthodox parents teach their children how to protect themselves from sexual abuse is a strong indication that a community once reluctant to acknowledge the crime is now beginning to face reality.

as in the non-Halacally Observant sectors, some people discussed it publicly, others preferred to be discrete. That the Haredi community found a way to be public helps those parents and educators to deal with the issue publicly without suggesting things that would lead to "something else". SO WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL!!!!
