Israel's political parties at war over legality of entertainers at campaign events
Israeli elections law prohibits entertainers from appearing at campaign events, and Yesh Atid submitted a complaint against singer Sarit Haddad’s appearance at a Likud event. Likud, in turn, is threatening to file complaints against performances at Labor and Meretz events.
Singers Sarit Haddad and David "Dudu" Fisher appeared at a Likud-Beiteinu campaign event. Efrat Gosh sang at the Labor Party’s economic forum, and Rona Kenan and Yehoshua Sobol took part in a Meretz event.
