Israel's chief rabbis back anti-abortion group: 'Killing fetuses is murder'

To me these rabbis are an abortion. it is a question of conscience that the person involved can anwser

WHy is a group that gives women an alternative to abortion being targeted? They dont just yell murder they provide food, money and essentials for an entire year for the baby. Judaism allows for abortion when the mother's emotional or physical health is at risk and other specific circumstances but not as a means of birth control.

Time to start considering palestinians as fetuses to afford them same religious protection from murder by the "religious" nuts.

Why? Netanyahu, Lieberman and the rest of Likud's party members are a perfect reason why abortion should be allowed in Israel. Then we would not have so many murderers in Israel.

Incidentally Charlie killing people during war is not classified as murder. Even less so when they are attacking you first. You got your head up your sit zone.

They are rabbis. If they go against the Halakha, they are doing a disservice to everyone. Would you rather they lie about what the Torah says? they should not selectively choose excerpts that serve their personal emotions and neglect what they do not like. a rabbi is a faithful man who believes in god. they are a role model and a mentor in their communities. if the leadership is bad it sets a bad example. in this case they would be condoning blasphemy according to the torah. this could have a negative affect on many people. if people want to have abortions let them go to another place outside of Israel.

Of course it is murder, it is a baby. what do you thnk it is - a cupcake? A rabbit? It is a human being.

you can twist it and spin it any which way you want and delude yourself and others but the cold hard fact remains and simply cannot be denied that abortion is murder

From a biological pov a fetus is a human being in process of maturing. Maturation is a life long process from conception to the grave. Ethically it makes no difference cutting short the life of a person in utero, or at 5 years, or 85 yrs.

I am glad to hear of the Rabbiis comments. I hope they will try speak out against abortion of non Jews as well. The life of an innocent in the womb is truely precious. Such a crime as abortion will not go unpunished by God. The can be no peace in the world as long as there is war on the unborn. Where the abortionists rule populations are collapsing. Shalom.
