Israel's Attorney General meets Lieberman's lawyer to discuss indictment
Lieberman wants to expedite legal proceedings against him, since if he is convicted before election for a crime of moral turpitude he would have to resign from current Knesset but would still be able to run for next Knesset.
The anticipated indictment of former Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman was unexpectedly postponed on Tuesday because the prosecution is considering reopening the investigation to take testimony from additional witnesses. The Justice Ministry had previously said the indictment would be submitted on Tuesday.
