Israel elections committee debates disqualifying Arab and rightist parties

In their fury to brand Israel as undemocratic, readers have not noticed that there are also proposals to ban ultra-Orthodox parties (Shas and United Torah Judaism) that discriminate against women. But your minds are already made up, and I mustn't confuse you with the facts.

Balad is a dangerous party. It needs to go and is not interested in democracy, Jewish or otherwise. A democracy is to protect the rights of everyone. That doesn't give a minority the right to impose its will over the majority. That's actually fascism. The mediocrities who 'govern' this vassal state want to ban the people who will actually do something to help our situation, such as Arieh Eldad and Michael Ben Ari. If this situation continues, I fear the worst.

Isreal is only Democratic if you are a Citizen who is Jewish.

This is the democratic Israel that America and the Western world upport and protect. This is the Israel that the Western world claims as the only democracy in the Middle East.

Please do not call Israel a democracy.
