Israel's longest investigation into a public figure - marked by inexplicable and intolerable foot-dragging - ended feebly Thursday, considering the original allegations. The saga has gone on for 12 years - 12 years of governments and prime ministers coming and going, along with legal advisers, police commissioners, investigators and state prosecutors.

As a Jewish person in diaspora I don't exactly understand what makes Lieberman more then an embarrassment we all swallow so there can be a coalition that includes the far right. We have everyone except the FM framing and shaping our interactions and policy because of his demonstrated inability to do so effectively or well. Danny Ayalon, Marc Regev, Livni anybody but Lieberman would be a better FM in my honest opinion he weakens the govt and limits its potential.
thank you
