"If you don't want to see these images with your name and mobile phone number online then video chat with me," the suspect had written to some of the girls. He had sexual intercourse with four of them, according to the indictment.
The indictment suggests that Nahum, 25, maintained online relationships with underage girls on the "Shox" chat site, posing as a 15-year-old, over the course of four years. His chats were heavily laden with sexual messages. He asked some of the girls to turn on a webcam and instructed them on how to touch their bodies while he watched. In two cases, Nahum is suspected of blackmailing 12-year-old girls with threats that he would post nude photos of them online if they didn't comply with his demands – turn on a camera and do as instructed.
The indictment further charges that the suspect had an ongoing physical relationship with four girls, all under 16, performing sexual acts on them with their consent. The indictment lists sexual offenses against 11 underage girls.
The Tel Aviv Prosecutor's Office has requested that Nahum remain in custody until the end of the proceedings.
The affair first came to light when one of the chat rooms' security personnel informed the police of a person posing as a 16-year-old for many years. The police solicited testimonies from girls who didn't file complaints, saying "we ask girls and young women to whom this story sounds familiar to file a complaint with the police. We believe that many girls were hurt by this man."

He's got all the makings of a good Rabbi.
would it be US senator? or some esteemed rabeynu whose scepter ( and a humble stamp carefully kept in the tsilit ) lets some of the more fortunate ones closer to the coveted milking spots... Sex with children and one poor IDF officer? Give me a break. It's great you caught the misfit. But I don't think he makes the weather...
Like 'Command-Rape', someone used to exercising power and in a position of authority over females is a much more dangerous animal than the average male. Similarly with priests, rabbis, and politicians. Why are their numbers totally disproportionate than ordinary males for abuse?! Is it their natural predatory disposition? If anything with their superior positions, they may well be detective less that the average Joe. Clearly too, the armed forces actually encourage racist and disdain for females.
This reminds me of something that happened here in the USA in 1998, about which nothing was ever said or done. Someone calling himself 'Mr. B Happenin' was posing as a certain rock star. he preyed upon many very young girls, some of whom had to go into therapy after their encounters with him. What happened to him? Nothing, as far as I know. This was before the Iraq war, and I think he was connected with the US Army and that war effort in some way. Shameful.
All of you (#1-8) are too sensitive, a little bit paranoid, and too defensive. Remember this: a crook is crook, a man arrested is a man arrested, a criminal is a criminal. It is not an existential threat to Israel, for example.
The most moral army in the world, an army of child molestors and thugs. Not to mention war criminals.
Most important for parents, before giving your children mess access to the internet, learn about the dark side of this tool as well as setting safeguards of what your child can access on line and keep checking it all the time. If your child does not want to allow you this, the remedy id simple... yes they can use friends computers, but that certainly will cut down the time of use and what they post, also talk to other parents and advice them to do the same. Do not be afraid of your child You are the parent. As they grow older they need to be taught that what they publish on line will be reaching perverts and low lives not only their friends. Unfortunately kids look for excitements and end up in trouble. There is one big problem: No international laws govern the internet. Governments around the world need to come up with a uniform international law do so. Up to now there is nothing to protect the public from crime on line, you can be victimized by people in your back yard or half way around the world.
Morality is like a compass , it puts you on the right direction. its natural to drift away from it and do all henious things . one can argue , when IDF, find it justifiable to demolish homes , confiscate land, uproot trees , target killing , or killing people after t...heir arrest to harvest their parts and list goes on , and on and on - where can we darw a line and say this is moral and this is immoral so we should not be surprised say the least when IDF personal found engaged in immoral behavior , should we ??? Indeed, why expose someone not yet proven to be guilty. A point quite rightly made by all of you. Yet isn't it ironic that as a nation you are all quite ready to judge ALL Palestinians as bad people, if not terrorists, on a daily basis. Food for thought.
I order to see if more girls recognize him. Just a guess though.
.... possibly being commanded by Chilonim like that.
What does this man's bizarre behavior have to do with women serving in the military? He is charged with - and has not been found guilty of - hitting on underage girls.
..I don't understand your point... And there's a huge difference between exploiting the internet as sex hunters and abusing your role as a commander in a strict military system.
And I think there are many more of those
when publishing someone picture acusing him in advance by showing his face ? if he were already guilty is 1 thing but not judged yet i guess ynet will do the same u did if they got guts!! its a pitty to ruin someones life beforehand do not u think so MODERATOR? therefore i do not care if u publish or not my opinion and by theway im not a relative of this person
just because I told they can be sued and make that man millionaire.Of course my question if the IDF trained or paid him that they named it in the affair was also responded with a nice **** ***. Regards.
Just like the media pointed out that Yigal amir was religious, perhaps they can focus on the fact that this man ISN't religious.........
One expects a moral, ethical, exemplar behavior from a religious person. Yigal Amir is a shame for the Jewish people, for the people of Israel, for the religious ones, for the whole human kind. And you, Dov, what kind of a person are you that placed in front of this piece of news about the disgrace brought top the life of so many girls, the ONLY thing you have to point out is that this man is not religious, as if he were he would be a better person? If you keep thinking so after all what the religious camp has shown lately in Israel and the US, you need URGENT help.
We invite every survivor of sexual abuse who feels that she or he would like support to contact one of 9 rape crisis centers in Israel. Women can call 1202, man can call 1203 24 hours a day. All calls are confidential.
Regards from a foreigner.I'd like to see this in our local blogs!
There is nothing in this article that has any bearing on the persons military service. So why "IDF Officer"? One might think you had an axe to grind with the IDF, no?
u will find scarin ppl in every group. so german news cancelled to mention the religion or being a migrant on criminals. they r just criminals. no matter what they believe in.
most moral army. Clearly it has a lot of people who don't qualify

Just a question... If was was innocent he is not now.
As bad as this is, the paper should not mention the name of the offender, nor show his picture. We are not in the Middle Ages anymore.
I am afraid to say that there is no anonimity under Israeli law for suspects in any type of crime except if they are minors. It seems strange by western standards but that's the way it is here
The identity of minors accused of a crime are protected, but not of adults. I am surprised that several people are concerned about this. I never heard anyone complain about showing a picture of a Pal alledged "terrorist" who has not been convicted. At least with this creep, they waited to publish the pic until the guy was indicted.
