The Hebrew University of Jerusalem's senate is expected to vote on Wednesday to let Ph.D. students submit their doctoral theses in English.

As a matter of fact, my own doctoral thesis at the Hebew University was submitted and accepted in 1974. The topic was "Education and the Political Process in Malaysia and Singapore," and it was pre[pared under the aegis of the Faculty of Humanities. It was written and submitted in English, and copies were subsequently requested and deposited in libtraries in Malaysia, Singapore and elsewhere.
