Hundreds of trees have been marked for destruction, to make way for a gigantic water reservoir scheduled to be built in the Jerusalem Hills. Subcontractors working for Mekorot, the national water company, have already marked for removal about 800 pines, oaks and cypress trees in a forest near the community of Har Adar west of the capital, to make way for the expansion of the city's water supply.
