Interior Minister Eli Yishai said on Tuesday that more than 2,000 migrants were taken from their detention facility and repatriated "voluntarily" to Sudan, confirming Haaretz's report to that effect.

They were offered couple of thousand dollars to go home rather than be detained in a refugee centre, nobody forced them to leave. The Israeli public doesn't want them in the country ( leftists included ) the government doesn't want them, they don't want to be held in detention centres so they agreed to go home with a couple of thousand dollars in their pocket, where is the controversy?

When you round people up like cattle, call them "infiltraitors", attack them in the street and in their homes (fire bombings)...then of course they will leave "voluntarily". Some might actually call it coercion by force!
