Election broadcast ads start Tuesday, and so has the censorship
For the next two weeks, Israeli television and radio audiences will have several opportunities each day to watch and listen as the parties hawk their wares. Two segments, from two different parties, are already under fire from the Central Elections Committee.
Campaign ads for the January 22 election began Tuesday on Israeli television and radio channels. For the first time, Army Radio is joining the state broadcaster and the local commercial television channels in airing the government-funded party ads.
