Body of U.S. tourist found near Jerusalem; police suspect terror attack
Christine Logan disappeared on Saturday, when she and a Jerusalem-area friend were stabbed by assailants while hiking at an archaeological site; her friend, Susan Kaye Wilson, was hospitalized in moderate condition.
By Gili CohenIsraeli security forces early Sunday found the body of Christine Logan, an American tourist woman feared kidnapped by Arab assailants while hiking with a friend near Jerusalem the day before.
Logan's friend, 46-year-old Kaye Susan Wilson, was hospitalized after she managed to escape her attackers despite multiple stab wounds and her hands tied behind her back.

Wilson, an immigrant from the United Kingdom who now resides in a Jerusalem-area community, told paramedics and police officers that she and Logan were assaulted by two Arab men while hiking at Khirbet Hanut, an archaeological site near Beit Shemesh.
Wilson said that she pretended to be dead to escape further attack and then managed to flee the scene and reach the road; Logan did not. After speaking briefly to investigators, Wilson was taken to the Hadassah University Hospital, where her condition was reported to be stable.
Police identified Logan's body early Sunday and are continuing to focus their investigation on the circumstances of the incident and searching after the perpetrators. Jerusalem District Police Chief Aharon Franco said on Saturday that the investigation would not rule out the possibility of the incident having been a terrorist attack.
Security forces launched a massive manhunt for Logan and her attackers shortly after the attack on Saturday. The search was expanded later in the day to include hundreds of Israel Defense Forces and Border Police troops. Police and the Shin Bet security service were also brought in to investigate the possible presence of terror cells in the area.
Roadblocks were put up, checkpoints along the Green Line were fortified and Route 375 was closed at one point to prevent the perpetrators from finding refuge in a Palestinian village in the area.
Items of clothing were found at the site of the stabbings, but there were no signs of Logan until into the night. Searchers were hindered by the absence of photographs or other identifying items that are usually available in such cases, as the missing woman is not an Israeli citizen or resident.
Investigators went to Hadassah Hospital, where they tried to coax additional details about the incident and the missing woman from Wilson, who was said to be in a dazed and groggy state, although completely conscious, since the incident.

Terror is an overused and abused word and term. All people become numb to terror! It was murder! act of war! Forget this girly word 'terror'! 'terror' is for loosers! WAR! is what it is NOT 'TERROR'!
As long as Abbas and the Palestinian Authority glorify murderers acts such as this, it will be the norm in the arab muslim community. Prior acts such as this would bring about the muslims to the street to give out candy and speeches of arab honor. a few weeks ago Abbas had named a street after one such murderer. I recall that muslim had murdered over 30 jewish school children on their way to school. the sad thing here is there are thousands of streets in arab communities named after those that murder Jews and Israelis. Israel will eventually find the killers, and bring them to justice. But will Abbas and the Palestinian Authority give the killers and the killers family a monetary award and lifetime pension in honor of this murderous act? How can Israel be expected to make peace with the arabs and muslims if Abbas and those in his cabinet glorify the murder of Jews and Israelis? What type of state is the Palestinians looking to create, one that promotes murder?
Natalie #27 is right on point. No-one knows who, or what, Israeli nationality (Jew, Arab, Druze) to which the killer belonged, or even why the crime was committed. But we all know that US co-oppression of the Palestinians in a militarily occupied area (which is where this tourist chose to go) carries natural high risks. This, and not specific evidence, is why the Israeli police consider one hypothesis of motive to be Palestinian resistance (in Hebrew, always spelled "terrorism").
Why, when referring to Arabs, are incidents always assumed to be terrorist in nature and they terrorists? Can't they just be murderers, which is horrific enough? This incident don't really follow the definition of terrorism without a stretch and to bandy it about with every altercation between Jews and Arabs detracts from the impact/meaning of the word and lessens the horror of what murder and attempted murder are.
War zone tourism may return a thrill but it is a thrill that includes risks. It is not really important who killed this American woman. What is important is that she is dead. That would not have happened if she spent her tourist dollar in a safer destination.
310,000 people from all over the globe visited Israel in November.
There are more homicides each year in the city of Philadelphia (and in other major American cities) than in the entire country of Israel. Tourists -- harken to Natallie's advice -- avoid American cities!
That Durson's beloved LA has more murders in a day than Israel has in a year!! And with approx. the same population.
Such a sad commentary on the value you place on human life. If "this American woman" was your sister - your daughter - your mother - your friend, would it still be "not really important" who killed her? Instead of condemning the acts of cowards who would murder innocents, you blame this victim, an innocent who dared to visit a region of historical and cultural significance? Your smug arrogance in "blaming" her for her decision to visit Jerusalem furthers the goals of the cowards who shamefully murdered her: shame on you. He who plants thorns must never expect to gather roses. My thoughts and prayers are with these women, their friends, and their families.
Israel and Palestine and Iraq are COMPLETELY different conditions. It is of course a good idea to stay away from protests and political rallies in the West Bank, and/or settlements. Violence against Israelis by Arab Israelis is rare.
http://www.zionism-israel.com/Palestine_Massacre_riots_of_1929.htm --On Friday August 16, after an inflammatory sermon, a mass of Arab demonstrators proceeded from the mosques to the Western Wall, where they burned prayer books. The British High Commissioner, Sir John Chancellor, was on leave in England. The acting British High Commissioner, Harry Luke, ignored the problem and claimed that "only pages" of prayer books had been burned. The British were woefully unprepared to deal with disturbances. In all of Palestine there were 292 British police. In Hebron, there was a single British police officer commanding a tine force of Arabs, many of them old, and one Jew. On August 17, a riot in the Bukharian Jewish quarter of Jerusalem left one Jew dead. The funeral, held August 20, turned into a mass demonstration with cries for vengeance. Beginning on August 22, Arab villagers, armed with sticks, knives and guns, gathered in the Haram as Sharif. Following Friday prayers and the usual inflammatory sermon on August 23, they poured out into the streets of Jerusalem and proceeded to murder and loot. By the time the riots were over in Jerusalem on August 24, 17 Jews were dead. The rioters opened fire simultaneously in several neighborhoods, evidence indicating that the massacres were probably orchestrated by the Supreme Muslim Council.Near Jerusalem, the small town of Motza was attacked by Arabs who killed every member of the Makleff family but one. A very young boy, Mordechai Makleff, hid under a bed. He grew up to be Chief of Staff of the IDF for a brief time during the War of Independence. Several settlements next to Motza had to be abandoned. In other settlements, the inhabitants were protected by friendly Arab neighbors. Kibbutz Hulda was evacuated by the British. Arab marauders burned the kibbutz. The British killed 40 Arabs there. The worst fury of the Arabs, however, was directed at the tiny ancient Jewish community of Hebron, where 64-67 Jews were massacred in a few hours of rioting on August 24, 1924. The British flew in additional reinforcements from Egypt and elsewhere. The riots spread to Tel-Aviv and Haifa and Safed. In Safed, 18 Jews were killed and 80 injured.
Indeed nothing changes, and neither does your bias. For every one of the atrocities you flag up here, there is and equal and opposite list of Jewish atrocities perpetrated against others. The only point of interest in your post is your use of abstraction, "Jew" "Arab" never 'human being(s)'. There is in my opinion something wrong with us human beings, something sick and twisted and you and your comments are indicative of it.
and even serial murderes. Even Jews in Israel murder. Here in England it's not too uncommon. I guess if Jack the ripper was an Arab in Israel, he'd be called a terrorist! If this was an Arab then more likely he is simple just a sick psychopath than a terrorist. Why so much hype about a couple of murders when many Israelis didnt care about so many palestinian babies who were blown to pieces in the Gaza war anyway?
They kept testing and pushing the envelope, until there was a response. Casualties from Cast Lead lie SQUARELY at the doorstep of Hamas. They are evil, using their own people, making their lives miserable, all for a PR score. There's a huge difference between Jews and Arabs, Israelis glorify life, Arabs glorify and yearn for death.
Because the UK woman said so? How would she know if it was an Arab or not? Why would it even matter if it was an Arab or not? Only in Israel could a murder come down to something so racist. Only in Israel is the 'stabber' a terrorist because he is Arab. What do you people thing that just because he was an Arab he was a) a Muslim? b) carrying out a terror attack for religious/political purposes? Why is it not plausible that they were just robbing some rich white people? I still don't see how we can report as fact that the 'men' were Arab a) we only have a foreigner's word for it b) Arabs are indistinguisable from a good deal of Israeli Jews (and no I doubt she knew he was Arab cos he was speaking Arabic - not that some foreigner would be able to tell)
There have been numerous murders of Jews by Arabs in this area in the past few years and the local victim who survived said she believed they were Arabs -- but hey, the murderers may also have been aggrieved leprechauns or tourists from Iceland. Write in and make Israel look bad for reporting accurately that a "nationalistc" motive is suspected.
but apart from that i agree with you. just because they were arabs, it doenst mean it was a terrorist attack.
Danny, Kay Wilson, the tour guide who was stabbed, made aliyah almost 20 years ago. She's very fluent in Hebrew and it is entirely reasonable to believe her if she says they were Arabs. I have known her personally for many years, and she has integrity, intelligence and a lot of grit. She's also a terrific tour guide. And she's the last person who would defame Arabs. I completely trust her account. The tourist who died was American, not British by the way.
...why? Why is a 'nationalistic motive' suspected? Because they think it was an Arab? And yes it could have been an Icelandic tourist, but seeing as how they were in Israel it is far more likely to be either a Jewish or an Arab Israeli. My point is that a foreigner could not tell the difference, and it was probably racism that led her to assume the attacker was an Arab. Jews kill Arabs and other Gentiles all the time too by the way, and in Israel these killings are usually 'nationalistic' too. Step back see the big picture. A story is being presented as fact with no basis other than some Westerner's (a Westerner who emigrated to Israel so perhaps she is harbouring some pro-Israeli anti-Arab views....see how stupid it is when you place labels on people based on their race, religion, place of living etc.) perception of events. Aravbs are no more likely to attack someone just becasue they are Arabs. End of. For every Arab who killed someone there is a Jew who killed someone too, so stop making silly arguments about the frequency of Arab attacks.
I hope the Israeli polis is handling this as a murder case and not as a terror attack.
Rachel Corrie, and an American citizen on board the Gaza flotilla died and other Americans were severely injured because of actions by the Israeli government. However, none of them were given this much media attention, and so soon after the tragedy. My deepest condolences to the victims families. Pray for all of them.
Don't stick your head inside a lion's mouth. For all intents and purposes, she committed suicide. She had no business confronting an operational tractor. Just like a person has no business jumping in front of a locomotive. Poor, naive, misguided child, who gave her life for nonsense.
t"the House of Islam" - and therefore they will never accept the existence of a Jewish State in their midst. Get used to it. This state of affairs will change only with the demiswe of Islam or as a result of a radical reformation within the religion - the chancxes of which are, so far, slim.
Me and my family know Kaye. She is a friend. A woman of peace and faith. A friend of both Jew and Arab. We pray for your speedy healing Kaye. We pray for comfort and mercy for the family and friends of Cristine. This is painful, very painful.... We stand firmly against this evil....this is nothing but evil from the bottom of hell...May God have mercy
A good person who has a good and kind heart. Can't say that about the brave men whose hearts are evil. But God knows and they won't get away with it.
We have to understand that this is a cultural thing. We cannot judge Arabs by our own western standards, For Muslims, a woman is less than a man. And a non Muslim woman is utterly worthless. In their eyes murdering a British female tourist is barely a misdemeanor. We must respect their cultural values as being no less valid than our own. Fortunately this is exactly what countries like Sweden are doing, and to their credit they are doing nothing to prevent Arabs from immigrating to their soil, or to stop them from blowing themselves up n the center of Stockholm. After all they have rights too.
can you repeat your comment to my face? also i'm a Christian, and most of my friends are Muslims, and they treat their wives and daughters really great, i can't believe we've reached a point that we'll have to defend our Muslim brothers by elaborating how good they treat their own families. i hope everyone in this lynch mob against Arabs to give the police a chance to unfold the story fully and to capture the killers, and to remember that your community, religion, nation has killers, thieves and bad people as well, on daily basis palestinians are attacked by settlers and on many occasions there were palestinians injured or worst, but we don't see you calling the jewish settlers any names.
Why are "tourists" visiting the terror state? It is a dangerous place. People should stay away.
I am English and have lived in the west bank for 5 months..... I felt safer there than I do in my own capital city... my only fear was from wild israeli settlers and some Israeli soliders
A few were killed or died. These things happen
In my travel I went to many citiies in USA. Try to take a leisure walk downtown Detroit, East Chcago (not far from downtown, Watts in Greater LA, most parts of Manhattan, NY and Bedford Stayveson in Brooklyn, or St Luis , MO which is the most dangerous city in US of A. Then if you come back alive please respond to this post
If you hike in an area like they did where there are unruly Arab villages, then you should be carrying a weapon like most tour guides who travel in these places do. This tour guide who survived should have known better. Most places in Israel are safe enough where you don't need a weapon. Also, Israel is NOT a terror state.
it means israel did it
Being attacked by two Arab men.
She was in an area the foreign office advised against travel. And she settled in Israel which makes her passport one of convenience. If anything it reignites the debate on whether British passport holders should be allowed to also be citizens of another state.
Like the misfit Turnbull ,killed when sneaking into Gaza during Israeli military operation there.
Chris, This attack (whether criminal or terror) was not in the occupied territories, rather it was inside the Green Line, in pre-1967 Israel, which is not disputed by anyone other than Iran, Hamas etc. Also as far as I understood, she only had a British passport, and no other passport or even identity card. You ought to retract your comment and apologize. Daniel
The foreign office travel advice is very clear pertaining to Israel. This particular British Individual is described as having settled in Israel 'Wilson, an immigrant from the United Kingdom who now resides in a Jerusalem-area community' quote from the above article As she no longer resides in the United Kingdom then one surmises that she is holding on to her British Passport for convenience rather than for any love for the United Kingdom. The term immigrant is one used to describe someone who moves to another country in the UK BtW I see no reason to apologise or to withdraw my statement, for the reasons I have described. PS this is a moderated forum and Haaretz have not deemed what I have to say as against the rules of the board, if you fancy yourself as a moderater why don't you apply at haaretz.
once upon a time in Britain, there was a saying "The English care more for their dogs than people." It wasn't that long ago that the consequences were since Britain refused to educate her poor, Britain had more homeless prostitutes, than homeless dogs. Now, that's some TRADITION, isn't it? ( And a real condemnation on a people who are now, more than ever, being paid back for their anti semitism towards Jews, and Israel, in particular. Recall the old saying, "The sun never sets on Britain "? How the mighty Jew hating nation, Britain, has fallen, and can't get up. Enjoy their demise. Enjoy all of Europe's failure, they've earned it and for their treatment of the Jews, that matter they are broke and deserving.
The same Brits that purposely sank boat loads of refugeees killing thousands so as not to offend Hitler? Or the same Brits that returned a mass murderer to Libya in return for oil? The list and history of Jew hatred with the Brits could fill encyclopedias. Why would the death of one Brit at the hands of the Muslims that now control their country cause any response?
Why do need to underline the fact that they were Arabs ? How do you know that this a relevant information ? Were they young or not, from the area or not, did they a special motivation ? Were they Israelis ? The only thing we know is that they were Arabs.
Seriously? The only thing they know is that they were arabic. This is from a witness who was stabbed herself. I don't think that they stopped to chat about where they grew up or how good they look for their age.
Whether it is an Israeli baby heroically shot by a sniper or a captured child beaten to death or a captured pregnant woman and her children killed it is just bloodthirsty cowards who almost never take on the IDF and hide and fire from amongst their civilians creating predictable civilian casualties that only theircapologists cannot understand
and while this oawful event happened in Israel, you shouldn't get carried away with the gung ho messages in what could well be a bungled robbery attempt. People get killed in these things everyday across the world, the moment it happens in Israel nutters like you get carried away with your rhetoric. Let's see what the facts tell us on the ground ok? PS Merry xmas everyone!
That has been the case in every case murderers from arab villages in Israel had been arrested. Then there is President Peres ,pardonning gang rapists and child murderrers ,because they are arabs.
Read the press - it happens every day in most countriues but here it is automatically a terror attack perpetrated by Arabs.
kills someone with a knife, it's a murder, yes, but if it turns out that someone is a Muslim 'avenging' his terrorist brothers in other places, he's a terrorist. There's a perspective that is affected by reason and motive, and not only in Israel. Deal with it.
"it happens every day in most country " do you know exactly what was the motivation of the criminals ? was it a nationalist crime or a vilainous crime ? by ruling out already that it is not a nationalist crime you prove your dishonnesty let the justice work
Jackie, they were far away from the Green Line, near Bet Shemesh, so take out the magic word setlements from your title. They were killed because they were Jewish as can be proved by the place of stabing (Star of David necklace - see the surviver"s testimony). Jackie, have you ever thought that it could have happened to you because you wear a cross?
are the occupation.
and your statement on this incident is offensive to me, first of all i'd prefer if the investigations ended with a clear image on what happened and who did it, but for the sake of the argument and currently i'm talking in hypothetical sense:* if the attackers were palestinians acting against the occupation, attacking unarmed civilians isn't an act of heroism, i wouldn't have a problem with them attacking soldiers or armed settlers, but 2 women hiking is not justifiable in my eyes as a palestinian or as a human being*. this is an act of violence by criminals and not by freedom seekers.
I don't agree with attacking soldiers either. "Thou shalt not murder'.
if you are offended now, were you also offended when people were blown up in cafes, buses and universities during the intifada? Are you offended by rockets hitting the streets of Sderot?
I don't agree with the democratically elected government of my country, I'm not about to start randomly stabbing people in the street.
Kay was wearing a star of david neckless. they took it off and stabbed that place. Like every typical Palestinian, your looking for someone (or the whole world), once again to feel bad for you.
And, execute. There is no excuse for this murder.
I thought it was a Peace Process! You know - Palestinian Partners in Peace. Peace Now! That kind of stuff. What the Left still cannot accept is that before the "Peace" process, it was actually MORE peaceful. Killings of Israelis and Jews have TRIPLED since the Oslo "Peace" process was foisted on us...
5 Palestinians were killed in Gaza yesterday by a bomb dropped by an aircraft whilst they were preparing to fire rockets at Israel. If that is not a warzone then I don't know what is. As for my attitude, these two women knowing the risks decided to go for a walk on land that is dispoted territory in a warzone. It is not a race thing or even a religion thing, they knew the risks but went anyway and paid the price. Israeli extremists kill Palestinians everyday but it is not called terrorism it is called manslaughter, self defence or an accident.
did she spend her holyday on a war zone ?
so a jew should know better then to come to israel becasue its a war zone but when some American left wing pro palestin protester comes here and goes to a rally that is know for becoming violent every week and they wind up getting hurt its never their fault. remember your words next time, because i will Chris.
That Rachel corrie was in a warzone was the excuse used by Israeli jews and Israel firsters to justify her death. So when it is an immigrant to Israel or a tourist qho dies you cannot use the same excuse that Israeli Jews and Israel firsters themselves use to justify murder? Sounds like double standards doesn't it
As 'being in a warzone' is used by Israelis and Israel firsters to justify the deaths of Rachel Corrie and Tom Hurndall and countless hundreds of Palestinian children, I find it strange that you object that I use the same reasoning when it happens to an American tourist being guided by a British women in an area which can be described as disputed territory ie a warzone. So remember your words I certainly will.
but in the other case rachel corrie wasn't in a war zone ? for my part all of israel is a war zone because you can be victim of a terror or a rocket attack anywhere . when it satisfies your anti-zionist views you will always find biase argument
how can you even compare two innocent people hiking in Jerusalem to a woman who stood in front of a bull dozer in an actual war zone? Are you seriously comparing these two stories? Arabs are violent people and the rest of the world needs to figure out how to deal with them.
Corrie was a misguided fool
Of course you can directly compare the two. All three women deliberately placed themselves in danger despite knowing the risks in a warzone
Rachel Corrie was in the West Bank in front of a bulldozer. These two women were inside Israeli territory and were stabbed. It's like comparing Afghanistan to NYC. One is a warzone, one isn't.
nono u misunderstood me i agree with you that this is a war zone and if someone chooses to come to israel thay should be aware that this can happen to anyone here, so dont cry foul next time it happens to someone like rachel corrie. it can happen while walking down the street on a nice night, waiting online to get into a club or while waiting for a slice of Pizza or at a violent protest. i am willing to bet you never ever said that it was rachel or toms fault
Their fellow travelers learned to parrot "occupation" Long before there was any IDF Long before there were Zionists Nothing has changed except historically ignorant chorus who think this conflict has occured in a vacuum with Arabs as innocent victims
this primary scenario doesn't add up. And the police have made assurances that they are investigating a number of other scenarios as well, including the possibility of a dispute between the two women.
Israel news way
You always get your man when the suspect is Palestinian and dead.
The witness said it was Arabs. You think it was Norwegians disguised as Arabs?
i agree with you, not only that, they blame it on ALL Arabs, as if their communities lack criminals and as if we are all criminals stabbing people, thank god i have a broken hand since last week giving me an alibi. I hope the attackers get caught and trialled, my condolences to the victim's family. justice to all.
A Briton in a foreign land walking about a warzone having been stabbed multiple times can be mistaken in her eyewitness statements. A Jew dressed like an Arab looks like an Arab
First of all, any investigation in any part of the world deals with the persons looks and appearances. In the US-a murder happens and the word goes out, a black, white, asian, middle-eastern, or hispanic man/ woman involved. So when the lady who was attacked by arabs, says to the police that her attackers were indeed arabs you cry that Israel is rascist. Typical of your Arab behavior is not to care for the murdered victim of Arabs or claim regret, but be all torn up over how the murderers were portrayed and identified as Arab, even though they were.
Ever think of THAT! A personal vendetta, lovers' quarrel, name it. The possibilities are endless. And where else but Israel can you get an iron-clad scape goat by saying "Arabs did it"? What doesn't fit this scenerio is her hands being tied. If they were going to kill her, why tie her hands. On the other hand, what better way to cover tracks, especially if injured in the scuffle? You get a trusted friend to help you out.
so many witnesses in the South who for years said the "black" guy did it.
Jew dressed like an Arab?? She said they were Arabs, so thats what you go with! What you think the police should be politically correct and say, No we cant look for Arabs because we arent 100 % sure they were because maybe the lady wasnt thinking correctly when she was stabbed! I live here in Israel, and this lady who was stabbed was is an immigrant, she knows whos Arab and who is a Jew. She lives in Jerusalem, she knows the difference between Arabic and Hebrew. I dont know of to many Jews walking around dressed like Arabs, whatever that means.
I have known Kay for years, and what you propose is absolutely crazy. This was a horrible tragedy and all you can do is blame the victims. Anyway, how could she stab herself in the back? Kay is an upright woman known to hundreds of people as an exceptional person and fantastic tour guide. She is completely fluent in Hebrew, knows the difference between Arabic and Hebrew, and is the last person in the world to defame Arabs. You've got it all wrong.
But you accept the possinility that a religious Israeli settler type could dress up as an Arab, speak Arabic attack these two women in order to persuade American public opinion that the Arabs are dangerous and Jerusalem should be Jew only?
the person called "I" who wrote "The witness may have been involved".
Please stop the frenzied speculation! Just pray that the woman gets through this ok, and the attackers are found and face a court of law, and not the itchy trigger finger.
NO! I am a religious settler type, and no! we would never do this to our OWN, binding and murdering a women and dumping her on the side of the road! Are you sick......have you watched to much anti-Israel propaganda to think religious nationalists would do such a thing to there own for propaganda!? Have you ever met a settler?? One of the women was murdered in cold blood by an Arab! You disgust me!
I disagree with your description of religious settler types, there is enough evidence from their own actions to show that they are entirely capable of murdering a Briton and an American if it suited their own needs. In this case to fill the American media with stories of an American tourist by socalled Arab terrorist to strengthen their contention that Jerusalem should not be divided. A British women obviously counters any propaganda coming from the United Kingdom You will note neither Lady is an Israeli Jew
The one lady, the lady from Britain, immigrated to Israel in the 1990's (according to the BBC) http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4001065,00.html Also, read this. They were Arabs and quit trying to get off on your daily anti-Israel bashing. SHE SAID THEY WERE ARAB AND HAS LIVED IN ISRAEL FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS!!!! IS SHE LYING OR IS SHE JUST IGNORANT THAT SHE DOESN'T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A JEW AND AN ARAB. ANYONE HERE FOR THAT LONG KNOWS THE DIFFERENCE.
tourists ! When mad dogs roam the streets no one is safe.
Unjustifiable murder like this underscores Israel's legitimate security concerns.
Are you saying that this was done by Palestinians who infiltrated Israel armed with knives? I find that rather unlikely. If (as must be presumed) it was done by Israeli citizens it is an internal Israeli problem, and not a "security concern".
Doesn't matter where they are from, Isareli-Arabs also kill for nationalistic reasons, thus it must be considered a security concern. It is an Israeli problem, but that doesn't eliminate any security concerns. Only enhances them.
whether it is a nationalist motivated crime or a vilainous crime security is a top concern in this case because lives of innocent cityzens are in danger the fact that they are arab israelis doesn't change anything because arab israelis can act for palestinians terrorist organisations it won't be the first time nor the last
in the sense that is meant whenever the question of borders is brought up with Israel, has nothing to do with internal threats. It is about protecting Israel from external threats. This kind of attack could not be prevented by incorporating settlement X into Israel.
I totally agree with you.
This is such sad and needless death. Why these men would attack these women is beyond me. Yes I believe that the occupation is wrong, but NOTHING justifies the brutal stabbing of an innocent woman and thank God not another.
who did it??? Why are you blaming Palestinians? Do you really believe this has to do with the occupation? Such bias!
Do you really believe this crap that the Israelis are "occupying" the land? YOU IN TEXAS are occupying stolen land from the American Indians... This land has been Jewish for thousands of years... As long as arabs continue to dupe you into thinking that we are living on "occupied territories", they will continue to try and legitimize the killing of innocent people, Jews and Christians alike...
It was more stolen from Mexico than American Indians... And the (current) state of Israel was established in 1948... And it held Muslims, Jews, Druze, Christians, and Bedouins before that, too. And it was also ruled by the Romans, Greeks, and Assyrians (amongst others) after the historic Jewish land of Israel fell... Maybe it should go back to them, huh? If you're going to argue history you should at least know it, Stacy. Furthermore, I would hope that we live in a more modern and justice-based time that allows that land theft isn't okay. I think that we can all agree that what was done to the Mexicans and the native Americans was horrible... but I guess I don't understand why saying that one horrible and unjust thing happening justifies another.
