Heavy rainfall hit Israel's northern and central regions on Friday, with some precipitation expected to reach as far south as the northern Negev.

According to the Meteo-Tech weather forecasting company, Haifa saw an unusual 23 millimeters of rainfall in just one hour on Friday morning.

Other locations that experienced heavy rain in the morning hours were Kfar Vradim, where 9 millimeters of rain were marked in one hour, along with Safed and Ginosar, with four millimeters of rain.

Rainfall was felt especially around the coastal city of Hadera, with central Israel seeing lighter participation levels, with lightning and hail storms expected.

Later in the day, stormy weather caused a boat carrying eleven scuba divers to sink about four kilometers west of Tel Aviv's shore, with the city's emergency crews rescuing the stranded divers unharmed.
