Be'er Sheva becomes first Israeli city to ban drinking alcohol in public at night
Municipal bylaw bans drinking in public between 9 P.M. and 6 A.M. without a special permit.
A new Be'er Sheva bylaw, the first in Israel, makes it illegal to drink alcohol in public at night. The law also bars a juvenile from drinking alcohol in public at any time of day, if he is not with his family or with another consenting adult responsible for him.
