It is very sad to see what the jewish state does to arabs and other minorities what was once done to them. Perhaps this was the time to show why jews are the chosen people. Even if the majority of israelis do not want the west bank to be annexed, still Israel is bias towards its own arabs citzens.

The editorial decision to go with a headline "Apartheid without shame or guilt" rips away any shred of journalistic credibility, which is backed up by the prejudicial and weak conclusions of an article based on flawed questions. Never mind that the entire article rests on the premise of Israeli annexing the West Bank, which we know the majority of Israelis do not favor, but to take one of the most disgusting slurs that our enemies use against us and have an Israeli newspaper print it as a truth? This is shocking and disgraceful and an insult to those that actually suffered apartheid in South Africa. Are there racists in Israel? Sure Are there societal reasons why this may be an increasing issue? Perhaps, and worth an article, but this? This could have been written by a paid up member of Fatah. Shoddy journalism, shoddy survey & deep anti Israel bias are the basis of this. Shame on the author and shame on Haaretz's editorial staff for letting it be published under this headline, if at all.

Most Israelis don't want to annex the West Bank, in no small part precisely because they don't want to give them the vote. If you ask a hypothetical question, 'But if Israel would annex the West Bank, would you feel better about giving them the vote then?', of course the answer will be 'No!' Not having to give WBers the vote is a main reason why Israelis don't want to annex the WB in the first place! Likewise, asking if Israeli Jews would rather Israeli Arabs become Palestinian citizens is not the same as demanding they be stripped of their citizenship. As for preference for Jews, well, I think it understandable that Israeli Jews want most of their civil servants to be Jews. It is a Jewish state, after all, established as an act of Affirmative Action for the Jewish people. Affirmative Action is a kind of discrimination on behalf of an historically disadvantaged group. Now, that may be problematical, and more needs to be done to create a society which is more inclusive towards Israeli Arabs. Unfortunately Palestinian Arab nationalism is on the rise among Israeli Arabs, and this is likely to have the opposite effect. The global BDS movement is, basically, a pro-Palestinian Arab Muslim and Christian, but anti-Jewish, nationalist movement, and may only exacerbate the problem all the more.

I read an article in this newspaper recently by a rabbi that said Jewish values should be taught at home. These must be the values that are being taught. The world won't put up with this nor will the Jewish diaspora. Israel will loose all legitimacy and support if you continue down this path.
