16-year-old killed by grenade explosion in northern Israel
Grenade hurled toward carwash in Arab village of Kafr Rama near Carmiel, the owner of which is a known figure to the police.
A 16-year-old was killed Monday after a Frag-grenade detonated near a car wash in the Arab village of Kafr Rama not far from the northern town of Carmiel. The teenage youth was an employee at the carwash.
Police forces arrived at the scene shortly after the incident occurred. The owner of the business is a known figure to the police.
Police have opened an investigation into the incident, and currently know nothing about the motivations for which could have lead someone to throw a grenade toward the carwash.
Dozens of residents from the village arrived at the scene and created heavy traffic congestion in the area.
