101-year-old olive trees uprooted in Galilee
Members of Kibbutz Kinneret, who did not know of the planned uprooting, are trying to get the trees replanted.
A row of olive trees first planted in 1912 by a group of young girls learning at an agricultural camp in the Galilee was uprooted by Kibbutz Kinneret over the last few days. The kibbutz had permission to uproot the trees, but the action was shrouded in controversy and steps are underway to get the trees replanted.
