Mother, daughter killed in car accident at Yad Binyamin junction
Initial investigations show that a semi-trailer crashed into family car after not stopping at red light in junction.
By Roni Singer-HerutiA mother and her adult daughter were killed Friday morning in a car accident at the Yad Binyamin junction, east of Gedera. The daughter's husband was seriously injured, and three others were lightly hurt.
From an initial investigation of the accident, it appears that the driver of a semi-trailer crashed into a private Mazda car, which was stopped at a red light in the junction. In the Mazda, the mother sat in the back seat, and her daughter and her husband sat up front. The mother was killed instantly, and the couple was badly injured. The daughter later died of her wounds.
The semi-trailer also collided with a Border Police vehicle, and two officers were lightly injured. The driver of the semi-trailer was also lightly injured.
In a separate incident, a pedestrian was seriously injured when he was hit by a car while crossing the Geha highway, near the "Coca Cola" bridge.

Appropo road behaviour - Saturday morning around 10-30 am on road 90 from rosh-pinna north to kyriat shemona 3 very powerful 4x4 tracteron travelled over 120 km/s and OVERTOOK CARS SIMULTANEOUSLY ON BOTH SIDES OF THE CAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The noise was horrendous and the noise shock effect could have caused these cars to swerve and smash into the ovetaking madman. These young maniacs forced buses and on-coming traffic to drive on the right over the yellow line to keep out of their way !! Not one police car was on the road in this area at the time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For their own lives get these idiots off the roads now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Until we can answer that, we will be pussy-footing around and not getting to grips with the problem. One minister - with balls, a budget, and a clear mandate from the PM to deal with this atrocious waste of human life. You already have a mandate from the public - what's left of it.

Guys whats wrong with your driving uh? can't you drive politely with respect? yesterday about 5 people died in car accident same things happening today. You are not concentrating while you driving, are you thing of politics all the time:)
