Report: Meshal set to make first official visit to Gaza visit

the small but powerful religious/nationalist bloc(s) have been restrained. Their influence prevents the government from any type of creative thinking for resolving the conflict. The government refuses to consider the Arab Peace Initiative, settlement slowdowns/stoppages, etc., let alone conceive of its own peace initiatives. Of course these blocs prefer the entirety of the land to a compromise with the Palestinians. As extremists, there really is no reasoning with them. They've wielded an outsized influence on government policy for too long. Sadly, the situation in Israel will remain so, until the Israeli population summons the will to confront them.

It's time for Israel to recognise Palestine's right to exist. Why continue the violence against children in Gaza? To think that occupation and brutal terrorism is justified is making the whole world hate jews. Nothing justifies the continued attacks against Gaza and Palestine. The time has come for the extremist Likud regime which has taken control of the Knesset to recognise Palestine's right to exist and to recognise international law and human rights. Then, all Arab states and the whole world will accept an Israel, finally living at peace inside her legal, recognised 1967 borders.
