Nukes-for-Assad trade in the offing?

I only hope that Israel has a good stock of nukes and continues to develop more....having these is the only way to bring balance of power and for israel to keep on top...dont give in to all the soft talk it wont benefit israel

Gaddafi gave up all claims to weapons of mass destruction to appease the USA and neocon president George W Bush. After that we were supposed to leave him alone. And instead, after that we easily overthrew his government and intentionally caused his death. Any deal with the USA is a deal with the Devil. -Specifically a deal with the Great Satan.

If removal of Assad that US is trying hard for the sake of Israel, the new comer is going to not going to be any friendlier as Assad was. Iran would not accept any thing less that Israel's total removal from Arab Lands.

So only the West has change its position, it has relies that it cant get rid of Assad forcefully without massive fall out beyond it controlled. I wasn't expecting this, but it seems to me that they may have just learnt a lesson or two from the Libya debacle and force the West to back a negotiate settlement, hoping that Syria do not go the same way, destabilising the Gulf states, Lebonon, Turkey and Iraq, many of whom face their own insurgency which would be boosted by Assad arms dumps. Russia and even Iran have always said the fighting must stopped and that both sides should negotiate, they haven't change their public position at all. It look to me very much like Iran and Russia has effectively won this proxy war. The Bath party will be return to power (Moscow and Iranian and Hezbollah allies), simply because the opposition will be to divided to present a rival, and Syria minority will vote for the party that have protected them for decades. Russia get to keep it Mediterranean port, something I am certain the US wanted gone. Iran gets to keep it supply lines to Hezbollah open. If this what play out it a resounding failure of the West Strategy to deal with and direct the Arab spring. ""Iran has proven it is willing to cooperate with secular regimes if doing so promotes its interests"" That always been the case, after 9/11 Iran provided extensive support for US operations in Afghanistan and Al Qaeda, it ended that support the day Bush declared them a terrorist state. Despite them really doing nothing that the US hasn't done in the past.

This is possibly the silliest commentary I have ever seen. Why wouldn't the Russians and Iranians scramble to talk with the Syrian opposition? And the US has always wanted direct talks with Iran. With the FSA winning in Syria why on earth would Washington give Nukes to Iran? None of this makes any sense.
