Cairo Court Grants Bail to Egypt Protest Leader

Alaa Abdel-Fattah is charged with assaulting members of Egyptian security forces at an illegal rally.

A Cairo court granted bail on Sunday to Alaa Abdel-Fattah, an Egyptian blogger considered to be one of the country's leading figures in the protest movement against military rule in the country. Abdel-Fattah is due to be released from prison on Monday, after spending three months in prison.
