Man, son indicted for killing man who allegedly stole their dog
Menachem Adato and his son Sa'ar, of Moshav Ganot, are suspected of battering their neighbor to death.
A man and his son were indicted on Thursday for killing their neighbor, whom they suspected of stealing their dog.
Tel Aviv District Court heard that Menachem Adato, 54, and his son Sa'ar, 21, both of Moshav Ganot east of Tel Aviv, went looking last week for their dog that had disappeared. They learned that she had been found on Zvi Silberspurn's farm land in the nearby Moshav Ramot Meir.
When they arrived at Silberspurn's house, they started beating him with rods. As Silberspurn retaliated, Sa'ar hurled a big stone at him, hitting him in the chest. The blow broke his ribs and injured his spleen, which eventually led to his death.
