A man was lightly wounded on Monday evening after a Palestinian stabbed him in the head at the West Bank settlement of Kedumim.

Police suspect the Kedumim resident was stabbed in protest of Israel's assault on Gaza.

Earlier on Monday, a Palestinian laborer stabbed three Israelis in the ultra-Orthodox town of Kiryat Sefer, which lies near Modi'in. One of the wounded was reported in serious condition.

Another Israeli was later found wounded after suffering stab wounds at the hands of another Palestinian.

The first Palestinian stabber, who works as an air conditioner technician, attempted to flee following the attack. Armed civilians nearby opened fire and wounded him moderately before taking him into custody.

Israeli security forces began combing the area in search for a Palestinian suspected of being an accomplice to the attack.

The attack occurs one day after an 8-month-old infant suffered moderate injuries from stones hurled by Palestinians at a car in which she was a passenger in the southern Hebron hills. Earlier Sunday, a one-year-old baby was injured by shattered glass after Palestinians stoned a vehicle in the same region.

On Sunday, two Israeli-owned vehicles were lightly damaged after rioters hurled stones at the Dir al-Assad junction on Highway 85, in the north of the country. The passengers, who were not injured in the attack, reported the incident to police in the Galilee town of Carmiel. A police cruiser combed the area for suspects.
