Perhaps he succeeded to some extent but I still cannot see anything anti-semitic in Ken's remarks. Ken Livingstone is no buffoon but a very serious and courageous politician. For example, he pushed through the Congestion Charge (a tax on cars travelling in central London), the only British city to try it so far. He was warned that it wouldn't work and would be very unpopular but so far it has worked and Londoners generally accept it for that reason. Boycott, you missed my point. The transcript you presented clearly shows Livingstone on a rampage and the offensiveness is varied; it covers a number of areas. By comparison the reporters' remarks were insistent but quite free from offense. Unles (within 12 seconds) thee had been a sudden transition there is clearly no evidence of previous offensiveness on the reporter's part and the response of Livingstone is also not consistent withits being a reply to a previous insult. I am certain that the imputation of previous offensiveness by the reporter is just a canard.
