Where is the gratitude from the Israeli people for the manpower and money Egypt is committing to measures that exist solely to protect Israel? I have nothing against the decision to built the steel wall, and as an American of Egyptian descent, I support it because I'd like to see closer Egyptian-Israeli relations and more cooperation between the two neighbors. That said, it would be nice to see at least ONE Israeli commenter on this article or ONE Israeli official thanking Egypt for absorbing this complete blow to our image in the Islamic world and leftist circles in the West. This wall is a PR disaster for Egypt, it is getting criticized from all directions and having its embassy vandalized. At the very least could we see some gratitude from Israeli circles for this? Egypt doesn't need to do anything to secure Gaza, its not our problem.
