Latest suspect in Dubai hit shares name with Australian-Israeli
Interpol issues arrest notices for total of 27 suspects, lists lastest as Joshua Aaron Krycer.
By Haaretz Service Tags: Israel Mossad Hamas Israel newsThe international police agency Interpol has identified the 27th suspect in the assassination of a Hamas operative in Dubai earlier this year, The Times of London reported on Tuesday, listing his alias as Joshua Aaron Krycer.
Interpol did not announce the suspect's age or nationality, but a passport picture showed him to be in his late 20s or 30s. The agency had previously released information on all the suspects, except for Krycer.
The real Joshua Aaron Krycer is an Australian citizen who moved to Israel three years ago, according to The Times. This makes him the fourth Australian to be named as a suspect involved in killing Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in his Dubai hotel room in January.
Most of the suspects identified in the hit - many of them European citizens with dual Israeli passports - claim to have absolutely no connection to the incident.
Interpol on Monday issued arrest notices for 16 additional suspects, who it said comprised the second team involved in the assassination. Last month. Interpol added to its most wanted list 11 suspects, it identified as members of the first team.
The individuals were tagged with "Red Notices," intended to help police identify or locate individuals with a view to their arrest and extradition. It is not an international arrest warrant, but it has been recogniaed in a number of countries as having the legal value to serve as a basis for provisional arrest.
Three Palestinians have also reportedly been arrested in connection with the investigation.
According to the Dubai police investigation, the first team allegedly carried out the killing, while a second team is believed to have closely watched al-Mabhouh's movements from the moment he landed at Dubai airport until his murder.
Interpol secretary general Ronald K. Noble said that the "thorough" investigation by Dubai police had established "clear" links through passport records and video surveillance of individuals and groups, as well as through DNA analysis, witness interviews and hotel, credit card, phone and transport records.
Mabhouh was found suffocated to death in his Dubai hotel room on January 20. Dubai police strongly suspect the Israeli intelligence service Mossad of carrying out the killing.

try looking at another country. The CIA for starters, as they have a history for this type of thing!
"Are you sure that Mossad has not killed in your name?" No, they haven't. I'm neither Jewish nor Israeli.
Lots of manic-depressive posters around here. Jubilating about the Mossad kill one moment and whining the next moment that this can't be because a) super heroes don't bungle their missions, b) super heroes don't run around in big hordes, c) super heroes don't wear 70ies wigs and glasses like they they were playing a cast in a Tarantino film.
Before you open yours mouth and accuse Australian of murdering a 3 years old Indian boy, you should read the news more often not only when convenient, for yours information the 3 years old was murdered by INDIAN man living in the same house as the family, he was a Indian student/taxi driver so much for abusing us Australian, you are disgusting!
how much more those idiots from Dubai will carry on? And when is the UN going to condemn Dubai for harboring a international terrorist and murder, or oil money talks??
More and more sounds like a frame: complete with phoney CSI. It is always easy to blame the Jews--sorry, Israelis. BTW, I assume that the "Palestinians" arrested, by whom I know not, were Arab Palestinians. That makes more sense, since some Hamas officials are blaming Egypt and Jordan.
After selling arms to anyone who wanted them the USA then joined the WWII. The arms industry kept the depression at bay in the USA. The jungles of New Guinea (Kakoda Trail) and the over extended supply lines of the Japanese army were the primary causes of the Japanese Imperial demise. The Japanese attacked Pearl Harbour and Australia joined the fight. We were colonised by the British and now the USA. Should we close the US spy bases we have here? We would like to. Can you help? Are you still fighting the Japanese war? Where were the US when Australian troops helped remove the Turks from Palestine and their opppressing both Jews and Muslims? The question remains "is it appropriate to deface the passports of another soveriegn nation"? Are you sure that Mossad has not killed in your name?
Ask Indians about the shame they feel because the three year old child was affected by an Indian man. Why should our passports be defaced by Mossad's illegal kllings?
"Can anyone name one thing Israel has done for Australia in the last 62 years." Rich Pratt, what a mercenary attitude! You should unconditionally support Israel no matter what, not because Israel has done anything for you but because it is the right thing to do. Australia did nothing to prevent the Holocaust. Israel is the only thing standing between the world's Jews and *another* Holocaust. Israel has the duty to do whatever it takes to kill Israel's enemies. And now the Australian government is whining about passports! Where was the Australian government when this terrorist needed to be killed? Not killing him! Mossad will kill Israel's enemies anywhere in the world, wherever they are. Do you want to be a friend to Israel, or an enemy? So stop questioning Israel! If they do it, it's the right thing to do. If you support it, you're doing the right thing too.
Do you KNOW that Israel is behind the ssassination of this terrorist? Even Hamas themselves suspect Jordan or Egypt. Do you believe EVERYTHING the press tells you and wants you to believe? I am not sure this is the right country for you if you are so ready to believe everything you are told in the media. Poor you.No wonder you are falling apart.
also product placement might have played a role... look how blatant obvious, almost agressively, surveillance team 1 (tennis players) showed their WILSON-tennis-rackets into the cameras... or this red plastic-bag, every 5 minutes its owner changed, but always this screaming "SALE"-print on the screen.. check the shopping malls records for "marketing campaign".. peter elvinger ("AL-fenger" according to the official dubai police website !)looked like a model on a fashion show: casual sweater around the shoulders when arriving, golf look with hat and striped t-shirt, business look with tweed and matching hat in the business-center, expat-look at departure...
The US entered WWII after they figured out which side was winning. The BUSH family was happily helping financing Hitler and his friends. For most of WW2 the US was sitting back profiteering from WWII, after all it was GM supplied engines in the trucks that carted off Jews to among other places Auschwitz and IBM supplied the computers to enumerate all their victims. You did not save the world in WWII you just profited from it. If you really knew the events that led up to pearl harbour attack you would know it was an event to trigger public support for the US to enter the war. Your best ships were sent out on manoeuvres just before the attack(to keep them safe), and your radar station was unmanned conveniently when the planes were within range. The Aussies can be proud of their early decision to fight the evil empire of Hitler, while the US sat back making profit.
I'm ready to put my money where my mouth is, and I'll bet when Interpol concludes investigation if Dubai police chief lets them, the conclusion will be that it was an inside job with Dubai chief leading the cover up.
look at the facts. It seems outrageous if Israel actually did it. It would make a lot more sense if Iran took him out. 1. They used Israeli citizen's names to frame Israel 2. They would have much easier access within Dubai then any Israeli citizen would have with a European passport. 3. It fits in with the current greater Israeli-Iranian conflict Perhaps they were pissed off with their main weapons smuggler to Hamas and took him out, kiling 2 birds with one stone.
The Dubai Police Chief and INTERPOL pay you no mind at all... The Chief deals in facts, not opinions...
A Dubai orchestrated or controlled operation is beginning to sound like the most plausible story in town. What you wrote clicked correct. Such control freaks have the ability to collect whatever they need to execute or cover up an operation.
"Aussies could not care less about Israel, it`s a tiny country located at the other end of the world. Asia is what interests Aussies.." Ah yes, as opposed to South American countries such as Israel. Thanks for the perceptive insight, but better stop sniffing the sheep dip..
If you care to read the press you will note the poor 3 year old Indian boy died as a result of another Indian living in the same house as his parents.. Get the facts before you write crap.
"As for WW11, we all know that they could well have ended up Japanese citizens if not for the great US of A." True...
Aussies could not care less about Israel, it's a tiny country located at the other end of the world. Asia is what interests Aussies, along with big countries in Europe or in North America. Traveling to conflict zones is no as exciting.
Mark, if you think it's right to defraud UK passports, why are you still a UK citizen?
passports are easy to acquire.about a dozen or so yrs ago on a simple tenancy matter the landlord challenged the identity of a tenant. The tenant actually took out a handful of passports shuffled thru them and found one with the right name.I requested that the Court secure the passports and call INS. The Court refused Interestingly, to our knowledge, the person did not return to that building though there were others in the apartment. Another individual I know about apparently returned to egypt fleeing serious IRS problems, six months later Isaw him back in the US when asked how he came back and the status of the IRS matter he laughed. every gov't uses and abuses passportsand many abuse diplomatic passports and sacks
Twenty seven, sounds more like a kita in training
Why would the Mossad risk the capture of so many operatives for the killing of just one man? Why did some of them escape to Iran? This all seems very surreal to me.
the real issue is dubai prving shelter and cover for know terrorist. Dubai allows them to conduct business in dubai, including contracting murders, planning terror and offers sanctuary. Dubai and the uae launder money for terrorists Dubai is the criminal
"Austrailia has no respect for Israel" Ask the Indian students or the parents of a 3 year old Indian child murdered in Austraila because of his race what respect they or the rest of the world should have for Austrailia. Sailor targets all Jews and Israelis for a death in Dubai for which there is no proof linking Jews, Israel or Mossad, should we condemn all Austrailians for the few bigots that carry Austrailian passports?
the way the investigations is going Israel as a whole will be charged for the killing of this third string person. I am sure that a real spy organization, whoever is would not need so many people. it sounds like a joke, sort of laurel and hardy
in their country.Arrest the Dubai police for not stopping this man from engaging in terrorist activites in dubai. This shows what a bad bad country dubai is
I've been traveling to and fro, never really been away The movie I had in mind is "Spartacus", the only problem I have with it is the original had Kirk Douglas in the leading role and the Aussie isn't blond Lot's of imitation blood though
and not one is caught (except for the Palestinians, go figure)! Not only that, they use Israeli citizens names and fake passports, and still made it in and out undetected. Almost sounds to fake to be true, amazing what Mossad, if they really did it, can do.
Lack of respect and honesty. No longer any trust!
How true. Then again you should see how they treat their own natives, especially in the current and vivid case of police brutality and premeditated murder in an ex penal colony on some island. As for WW11, we all know that they could well have ended up Japanese citizens if not for the great US of A. Now, movies..? You mean Crocodile Dundee.? Most entertaining, yet lacking in certain cultural and educative issues, unless one is a true cowboy. Nice to see you back. Best regards, Stephen.
How does a nation protect itself against another nation abusing the identity of its nationals. Should all Jews of Australan nationality have to be issued with yellow striped passports so that others of different denominations can travel without being suspected of being an agent for Israel. Isn't it about time that an admission and an undertaking is given in respect of its behaviour in Dubai so that so remediation of the relationship between Australia and Israel can begin. This is an assault on Australia and be advised that it is injuriously affecting the remnants of support for Israel here in Australia. The character of all Israelis is being lowered in the eyes of Australians. Why should all Israelis be judged guilty whilst these bumblers are hiding behind your children? Be honest or be marked, your choice?
So they blame the Jews for the assisination (so they say) of the Hamas operative. So far no proof other than "it smells like the Mossad". Must be OK for the ICJ and some European countries. israel is guilty before the trial even takes place! The Jews were blamed for the Black Plague, AIDS all the way to the collapse of the banking system in 2008 so why not this too. Congratulations to whoever carried out the assassination of a known terrorist wanted for murder. It is hard to envisage the Mossad sending in 27 of its' personnel to take out one man but if so, they must have known why it was necessary. If they did then congratulations.
Let's put the onus on you What has Australia done for the USA after we went to the effort and expense of sending our troops to defend you and yours during WW2 Odd your mentioned the two Gulf Wars, if the U.S. hadn't of gotten involved, you will be filling your gas tanks with roo crap instead of Gasoline If it wasn't for the USA your native language would now be Japanese instead of English One thing I will say in your favor, I do like some of your movies
seeing an endless stream of clowns emerging from the Clown Car? It seems Dubai can't keep track of the thousands foreign employees laboring under slave like conditions who are desperately seeking to get out and are being held under false pretenses in indentured servitude Yet the police claim to have identified an endless stream of alleged assassins, who performed a service when the rendered justice to a murderer What an odd sense of values!!!
...that mine wasn't used in the removal of a murderer in Dubai.
they took out an unrepentant murderer, money launder, military weapons smuggler and terrorist. And without any collateral damage.
No intellegents agency in the world would send in a teem of over 20 operatives into an unfriendly to take out 1 man, no matter how bad they want to eliminate that person. Mahmoud was killed in an internal Hamas (Palestinian) squable which was organized by people who knew his travel arrangements and were waiting for him. They arrenged matters in a way to Implicate Israel. Dubai, on the verge of bancrapcy, having its head held above water by Saudi and to alesser degree Iranian donations and underwriting of its financial obligations, was told to blame Israel and not to look for any other culprits or it looses its financial backers. I would suggest the people here condeming Israel, open your eyes. It is very easy to get a forged passport, any intelegence agency in the world can do it, you can also buy a forged passport on the black market for approximately US$50,000.00. It's just as easy getting information on people with dual citizenship living in any country.
You forgot to add undermining of the Australian Passport System to your list, thereby endangering every single Australian citizen abroad who will automatically suspected as a Mossad Agent. You may be happy with that I am sure most of my fellow countrymen, inclusding friends who were turned away from Bali since this affair came to light will disagree.
It must be unnerving for Arab Secret Service Chiefs to know that Israel had at one time 27 or more fighters operating in an Arab capital. It is good dissausion.
I would be foaming at the mouth that there appears to be a Fatah cell working in the Foreign Ministry able to get details so as to clone dual nationality passports. Yet there appears that Israel has not undertaken any investigations to uncover this terror cell. Makes you think doesn't it? If the Palestinians can breech Israeli security in this manner, what else are they capable of, borrowing an Israeli nuclear warhead prehaps. Or the alternative view of course is that this was an Israeli operation under the auspices of Mossad. In which case I would be spitting feathers that my adopted country is prepared to compromise your personal security, severely restricting your travel, and finding nothing wrong with it. Possibly not what Cipora Julianna Kohn was so confidentally predicting yesterday.
Will Interpol Issue arrest warrant against anyone who is able to eliminate Usama Bin Laden even if with a forged passport in London?
All passports belonging to immigrants from foreign countries to Israel have to be nullified for travel but can be used for voting purposes only.
The International Police must arrest the original owners of the passports and accused them of providing their passport information to killers. At that time someone in Israel talks.
the thought, of passing on the details of gilad shalits kidnappers (+ the "suspects" behind, e.g. haniyeh, mashal etc) to interpol seems very reasonable and logical. interpol doesnt hunt anyone with a red notice themselves, but what nations would repeatedly ignore any red notices on people living/entering/leaving their countries ? dubai, syria are interpol-member-states - and certainly would obey the rules (?)... even if its "just for the record" to find this out, those kidnapper definitely belong on interpols lists asap, of course with picture etc... are there any objections ?
1. The Netafim irrigation system 2. Raphael's Typhoon remote weapon system 3. Various data encryption systems 4. Popeye missile system 5. Military exchanges with Australian defence forces 6. Intelligence briefings to ASIS and ASIO 7. Biotechnology imports 8. Medical equipment imports 9. Cultural exchanges such as Kibbutz programs, Sar-El etc 10. My wife is an Israeli import to Australia of the highest quality Also, I note that you are using the name "Rich Pratt". If this is to mock my distant and deceased Jewish Australian relative who donated hundred of millions of dollars to Australian education and medicine then you are nothing.
Why would the Mossad kill anybody? Aren't they just a social group who gathers to play cards? Is there more to the Mossad than this?
ohh... those benefits are not the ones Mr. Goldstone will write for you to consume over the evening meal. But those are a lot more tangible...
Are we up to 28 suspects now? What is this? Mc Carthyism? Some sort of Saleem witch hunt? Perhaps it was the entire Mossad organisation that became lost in the Duty Free shops of that bankrupt bordello of the Sheiks we call Dubai. However that's probably not true because the Mossad don't get paid very much. I'm getting bored with this now. Yes #11 "Rich Pratt", the only reason why Australia gives any support to Israel is because of the USA. It's no wonder the Australians have created a Facebook page "I can't travel this year so I'm giving my passport to the Mossad", they are bored of this as well. Australia and Israel have the same enemy.
Inter - what, girls or boys... or may be both? oh yeah... tell me again please, inter - what?
and it's ways to try to pass the blame onto other contries for the assassination in Dubai. Bibi have been doing this since he first appeared in office. One day the shoe will be on the other foot and all hell will brake out, but what goes around.....and all that. The US aren't to happy that two of the assassins chose to flee to the US, carrying false passports. Homeland Security is investigating and the FBI involved. Israel has stepped on many toes this time around.
You say "Go ahead and name one tangible benefit for Australia from this relationship" with Israel. Well let's see, there's the statue built to honour the Australian light horsemen in Beersheva. There's General Monash (he was Jew you know Rich) who lead Aussie troops to their greatest victory & had 300,000 Aussies at his funeral. There is the Yad V'Shem records in Jerusalem that honour the relatives of the many holocaust survivors living in Oz. There is Aussie Common Law based on Judaeo-Christian ethics that originate from Israel. By the way, what have you done for Australia, Rich?
I am an Australian living in Israel and am more aware of all the knowledge imparted by Israelis in the field of irrigation for instance. However this has nothing to do with what happened in Dubai. To think that 27 Israelis were involved in one man's murder is rediculous and Israel is not stupid enough to choose passports of people living in Israel. I think Dubai has a police chief who wants to have his 15 minutes of fame.
criminals are criminals, whether they are Jews or likewise.
Can anyone name one thing Israel has done for Australia in the last 62 years. Alliances are a two way thing, what has Israel done for Australia in return for our support in the UN, Gulf war 1, Gulf war 2, preferential imports etc. etc. Go ahead and name one tangible benefit for Australia from this relationship.
all "suspects" have been to dubai before the "murder". means, all passport details were scanned by dubai before. as a tourist, i was pressed, urged and finally threatened to leave my passport at the hotel reception in dubai. because it was "THE LAW". so, the place, who had ALL passport information handy, was DUBAI. they could also have collected DNA/fingerprints in advance to complete their "storybook". their police-chief said, they would "infiltrate" even the israeli secret service, what unbelievably, by ME standards seems nothing special to say ! a european police chief threatening this, would be fired at the spot and an apology issued to the the country. but its plain a fully unimaginable thing... after all his years in THIS arms business, you can bet M made many murderous "friends", with much stronger motive than murders, dating back 20 years. also strange, apart from all immediate finger-pointing, all this happens, when dubais financial crisis is on its peak...
It is Jews of conscience like yourself that will change Israel for the better.
All it takes for that to happen is for Israel to issue "arrest warrants" and pass them on to Interpol who will then issue "red notices" Whenever they are found they will be detained for extridition to Israel. So if you want this to happen , talk to your government as apparently they have no interrest in doing this. ANYONE who breaks the law should be punished! Doesn't matter what their religion or nationality.
So, #1, youre saying that some arab state now has a hit-team of 27 european citizens, all non-arab, at their disposal? ANd they chose to deploy them to kill a Hamas official? Lol.
As an Australian oleh, I am simply disgusted by this use of our passports. I keep on expecting to wake up to my name all over the news. I love this country deeply, but lately, with this debacle, Lieberman's disastrous reign as foreign minister, the evictions in Sheikh Jarrah, land grabs in Silwan, and a whole host of other issues, I am feeling deeply pessimistic about the direction the state is going in. When will Israel wake up and realise that she doesn't live detached from international norms and repercussions, and that she cannot and will not survive as a pariah? How can Israel encourage aliyah when the government so brazenly and callously steals identities of olim? This takes chutzpah to an entirely new level, and should be a wake-up call to all citizens.
Neil, your assertion that Israel is the only plausible forger of 27 Israeli citizens with dual passports is surely correct. Israel is the only common denominator. It had a motive; has the history of assassination and the history of ignoring international laws and sovereignty. Its largely trivial, but it would have been very simple for Israeli immigration to ask for the alternative passports of the genuine passport holders on a whole range of pretexts. To apply for Israeli citizenship for a start would have required the original passport. It does mean they will likely have copies of all Israeli dual citizens who gained their alternative citizenship first. So those countries should look to cancel all those passports and issue new ones (although the countries may not know who they are), without reference to Israel, or preferably sending through Israel.
Dude, they did not clone any passports, they simply used a name and nationality of an individual. Based on the simple premise that most government departments, including Israeli, have muslim employees, it is not infathomable to deduce that other parties could do a simple lookup for people with dual nationalities... I could do it... simple....
Get real, folks. Hamas and Fatah member have carried out vicious, brutal mass murders of Israeli civilians. There is no doubt in anybody's mind that Palestinians have committed these murderers who have blown up buses and restaurants. These weren't committed during any war, but were specific attacks specifically directed against innocent, unarmed civilians. It's time for Interpol to do their job and start issuing arrest warrants for these Palestinians. It's time to put Palestinian leaders, both Hamas and Fatah, on trial for their decades-long policies of committing war crimes against Israeli civilians. Goldstone, Amnesty Intl and HRW all make the same conclusion. These are war crimes by Palestinians. Let's see human rights supports finally call for the arrest, trial, and incarceration of these Palestinian criminals.
You said "So which Arab country falsified passports to implicate Israel." On one hand, many Israelis suggest that the Arabs are incompetent. Now you suggest that they can track a large number of Israeli Dual Citizens and clone their passports so as to implicate Israel in the murder of an individual in Dubai. Fredy. Come on. You know that this is extremely unlikely. Try again. There may be another option. Try a concept. Like a number of Israeli dual passport holders were happy to loan their passports to Mossad to help out with the hit thus endangering all other passport holders from that nation. The time is coming that many governments will not allow a person to hold dual nationality with Israel. It is slowly being proven that this is not a sensible option if they want to keep their civilians safe.
I am sure the world wants to know the country on the false passport of the murdered man. As for the DNA I remember reading how Jews and Arabs had DNA roots which could mean that long ago they were related. So which Arab country falsified passports to implicate Israel.
