Chemicals cause woman and child light respiratory damage; police to request remand extension of suspect.
Northern police on Thursday arrested a Kfar Kara man suspected of dumping chemicals in his ex-wife's home, causing her and their daughter light respiratory damage.
The man, 38, allegedly entered the Umm al-Fahm house and sprayed the chemicals in the vicinity of his ex-wife, 27, and their young daughter.
The two are being treated at the Emek Hospital in Afula for respiratory damage and coughs. While their condition has been listed as light, doctors have asked to keep them in hospital for further observation.
Police will request to extend the suspect's remand.
