Biblical history is not the issue here. Making Hebron a heritage site is in fact a putsch and if not stopped will result in Israel creating another "fact on the ground".

Speaking of intifadas, in India, after the government declared the Mosque in Ayodhia, which was a former Hindu Temple before the Moghuls "took over" the subcontinent and turned into a Mosque. That status quo lasted for a few hundred years until somebody decided to give it back to the Hindus. Blood ran in the streets and I guess by now the issue has been settled. Heck, in Spain, the Moslems took over Visigothic Churches, and after the Reconquista, they returned to become churches--Hamas is likely still upset about that descecration of Allah. I guess when you are the most recent Monotheistic religion in town, you have take what you can get, and when you have return the "stolen property" claim it was yours ever since . . . However Mohammed didn't leave Mecca until 632 C.E. and many of the so-called Mosques were built long before that by believers in some other religion. Then too, can we ever forget what the Taliban did to the Buddha etched in Stone in Afghanistan recently.

We have so many movies and chat rooms and educational programs about the Holocaust and the impact war has in families. What happened to stories about every Israeli family that lost a loved one during 1967 war or in 1973 or the terrorist attacks. This did not happen to our parents generation but is going on with our generation. How many Israeli soldiers lost their beloved brother during a war? Where is their story, why is it so slow. We all know there was a Holocaust; but unfortunately, we are also aware that there continues to be a wave that is against the Israeli Jew who has been tormented for the last 65 years. That is not a Holocaust history lesson, that is a reality lesson that has been going on yearly since 1947. Every visitor to the modern State passes the many graveyards of young lives lost during combat. Those too are the lives cut short, that will not have families and children. This is a tormented society that has to be accountable to youth and explain, Why?

It is troublesome to read that these Muslim extremists will go to no ends in delegitimizing Israel and the historical record of Jews in the region. I find it pathetic that these intolerant people will not accept cleaning up these historical sites for the benefits of both Judaism and Islam. Muslims do more damage to their cause by ignoring their own religious roots and the shared values of both Judaism and Islam. The fact is, the loudest protesters are not true believers of Islam. They are Islamists and fascists who manipulate the religion for their own political agenda, which is the elimination of the Jewish State. These so-called Muslims violate the tenants of their own religion. How can Israel ever negotiate with zealots like this? There has to be compromise and acceptance of Judaism and the legitimate history of the Jews in the Middle East. It is time to fight back using the same UN to show the hypocrisy of these racist groups who call themselves Muslims.

They are not numbered. they have a place in our history. With the Moslems they immediately come out and say this is the holiest suite here this is the second holiest site, then comes the third holiest site. Bottom line...whatever holy sites are really in judasism, the moslems want for themselves. Have you ever seen a young baby. Whatever you touch the baby tries to take away as being theirs.
