It is no OK to marry a non-Jew, however nice they are. Rafaeli is a role model to some people, and should take her responsibility seriously, and split up with the genitle. (Rafaeli children are Jewish by blood but don't act it, whereas Chelsea's kids would be raised Jewish, so that's okay?) -Chelsea is de facto Jewish. -What a supermodel does determines the fate of a people, since everyone blindly follows what supermodels do. -A fear that DeCaprio won't raise Jewish children.

If we substitute any other group for the word "Jewish", we would rightly condemn this as segregationist/racist/xenophobic speech. (i.e. - Don't dilute the white race, Don't dilute our Chinese blood. Don't marry a jew and foul up our catholic heritage.) Why is it acceptable in this case? Because being Jewish should be treated differently than any other group?

My wife is Buddhist from China. We have been together since 1987, and she took wonderful care of me when I had a stroke. Her sister also went out of her way to help. Inter-marriage is a fact of life in the States. There is no anti-semitism in China, and the cultures are unusually similar. We should proselytize among the unchurched, and we should welcome anyone who wants to join us. We never recovered from what happened. Our rabbi has welcomed her. In fact, everyone at the shul is nice to her. Don't stereotype. And it's none of that rabbi's business. He's not Refaeli's father; he's a stranger.

It is 100% halacha- have you researched this at all? Not only is it halacha, but it is strongly condemned explicitly in the pentateuch EXodus 34: 16 I have no problem if you personally don't care for halacha, but to deny that it IS actually halacha is foolish. The article also uses some key words that i`m sure the organization did not use. `Dilute`is one of them- this has strong connonations of eugenics and the pure aryan race theory. ``Extremists`` is another improper word. This is mainstream orthodox and conservative jewish thought. It is not racism, it is a mechanism to preserve a culture and tradition that is, or was, in danger of being lost. No one is insinuating that Jews are superior to gentiles, we all know that is not true.

Rafaeli made the conscious decision long ago to make her life and body the topic of public discussion, as well as some kind of celebrity symbol for the state of israel. She knew full well what this entailed. She is well compensated for this, and it is perfectly legitimate for any one and any group to condemn her practices, as she is an obvious role model for young people. This is the nature of public life, and especially of celebrity life.

Since Bar Rafaeli is Jewish, her children will be, regardless of who their father is. What Marzel is espousing is racism, not halacha.

Baruch Marzel may be right in general but it's advise to a 'jored'(emigrant from Israël). Bar Rafaeli seems to have adapted well to the American way: mingling & intermarriage. Did Marzel also advise the jewish boyfriend of Chelsea Clinton not to proceed with marriage? Their children wouldn't even be jewish, like Rafaeli's.
