Police to deploy in force on Sunday, after Muslim leaders called for Arabs to defend Jerusalem

Jerusalem police will beef up their forces on Sunday around the Temple Mount, after Muslim leaders urged Arabs to defend Jerusalem against "Jewish conquest," Israel Radio reported.

The Muslim leaders made the calls in East Jerusalem and northern Israel.

Police reportedly stressed that Jewish elements have also called for their coreligionists to visit the Temple Mount, a tense site holy to Jews and Muslims.

Nonetheless, police said they would allow Jews to visit the compound and allow Muslims to pray there in accordance with the current guidelines, Israel Radio reported.

Police said that they would deal harshly with any attempt to disturb the peace on the Temple Mount and around it. According to Israel Radio, officers also plan to deploy in the capital's Old City and in East Jerusalem.

Earlier in the month, Police clashed sporadically with Muslim protesters in and around the compound. No one was seriously injured, but in the past deadly violence has erupted at the site.

the problem is absolutly not the religion, but the arab lack of rispect, the arab arrogance insolence and intollerance, that makes their relation with the jews impossible. Arabs don't accept our past in this land they will never recognize our right to exist they will fight us forever.

I pray for the peace of Jerusalem every day. I hope the police are well protected as I fear they will need it. Ha-Shem bless and keep all in Jerusalem in the great Nation of Israel.

Disturbing the peace, according to the Israeli police, is Arabs stoning the people praying at the foot of the Kotel. It is also Jews trying to pray on the Temple Mount. Moshe Dayan made many mistakes in his day, but giving control of the Mount to the Arabs was the biggest. It is such a lovely place from which to drop stones down on Jewish heads.

"they paved paradise and put up a parking lot" Temple Mount- Dome of the Rock - Western Wall. Take all of it down. Pave it. Put up a parking lot or a nature park. Sometimes I just feel that religion is the wrong way for humans to relate to one another.
