Jerusalem Court charges nanny suspected of abusing toddlers
Nanny suspected of pulling toddlers' hair and ears, as well as cursing and insulting them.
By ItimThe Jerusalem Magistrate's Court on Wednesday indicted a woman suspected of abusing toddlers in her care at a daycare center in the city.
The nanny has been charged with negligence and with the abuse of four toddlers aged 2-3.
According to the indictment, the 49-year-old nanny mercilessly pulled the hair and ears of the toddlers, and even kicked one because "he wouldn't get up from the floor," causing the toddler to suffer a slight limp in his leg.
The nanny also cursed, yelled and insulted the children over a three-month period in 2005, according to the charges.
The nanny justified her actions by saying she was dissatisfied with her job placement.
