Israeli wins top prize in Red Sea Underwater Images competition
Noam Kortler beat more than 100 competitors from 12 different countries all vying to capture the best image of the Red Sea's exotic marine life.
Israeli Noam Kortler has won the top prize in the annual Epson Red Sea 2008 World of Underwater Images competition, held earlier this month in Eilat on the Red Sea.
The stunning photography captures the exotic marine life of the Coral Reef Nature Reserve, a brightly colored underwater world just a swim away from the beaches of Eilat, Israel's southernmost year-round resort in the Red Sea.
More than 100 competitors from 12 different countries took part in the competition. Next year's competition will take place in Eilat, from 9-14 November 2009.
