Israeli man moderately injured in criminally linked West Bank shooting

Resident of Shavei Shomron settlement shot by Palestinians in apparent auto theft.

An Israeli man sustained moderate injuries Monday after being shot at by Palestinians, who then stole his car near the West Bank settlement of Kdumim.

The man, a resident of the West Bank settlement of Shavei Shomron, had gone down to run errands in a nearby Arab village on Sunday when assailants attacked him, inflicting injuries to his abdomen and foot.

An Israeli who had witnessed the attack evacuated the victim to hospital in Kdumim, as the assailants fled the scene with the victim's vehicle.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are conducting searches for the assailants.
