A Kiryat Shmona man was indicted in the Tel Aviv District Court on Wednesday for killing his partner and child and dismembering their bodies.

Eli Fahima, 59, was charged with murder, theft, aggravated fraud, obstruction of justice and forgery.

According to the charges, Fahima murdered Ramat Gan resident Beatrice Rodov, 62, and her daughter Denise Rogov, 36, and then dismembered their bodies.

Beatrice Rodov's torso was found in a burning trash can near her home in Ramat Gan in mid-August, while her daughter's body was later found in the Alexander River, north of Netanya.

Prosecutors allege that the bodies were dismembered in a similar manner, despite being found in separate locations.

They also allege that Fahima spent several days trying to bury evidence of the murder, including methodically cleaning Beatrice Rodov's Ramat Gan apartment and vehicle, and hiding furniture and painting sections of the apartment's walls. He is also accused of stealing his partner's wallet and forging her checks to claim NIS 9,800.

Fahima denies all the charges, claiming that he had not seen Beatrice or Denise Rogov or tried to contact them since they both left the apartment following a dispute between the two women. Fahima says he slept at the home of another female partner in Bat Yam following the dispute, and denies cleaning his partner's apartment or residing in it from that time onward.
