Could Peres opt for Yair Lapid to form Israel's next coalition?

Three times in its history, Israel has elected a prime minister under the age of 60... And all three turned out to be failures. I hope Peres spares Lapid this fate.

THe political center is always the comfort zone for electability. All US presidential candidates become centrist as they approach the elections. But there is no constituency in the center. It's usually a non-ideological bunch of people who are disgruntled with the political system. Yair Lapid's challenge is to make that bunch a constituency. That is a tall order in Israel where party platforms are nullified to accommodate a minority party to create a government. Can Lapid convert his TV personality in to political protectzia?

It should be a foregone conclusion given the damage he has done to Israel's International image and to the damage he has done to American and Israeli relations. Not to mention the anti semitism he has sown around the World that his fellow jews have to face due to his conduct.

Killing of five people in bomb making factory is unfortunate. So Pakistan should not encourage such heinous activities. They should focus more on economic development and try to develop better ties with India. In general people of Pakistan want peace and better relation with India but not a section of hard core fundamentalists and Pakistan army.

I feel very relieved. Congratulation to all Israelian voters against orthodox-fascist colonialist racism! This election is the best example Israel can give to the Palestinian people! That's great!!! Best wishes from a non-Jew from Switzerland!
