Many Israelis believe that if the Knesset elections were decided by the media's votes alone, left-wing party Meretz would win a majority and its chairwoman, Zahava Galon, would be forming the next government. If this myth were anywhere near true, the only party of the Zionist left would at least be getting a bit more attention from the local press. But, alas, it's not and the press is currently focused...

Meretz' solutions, whether based on Oslo or on the so-called "Arab Peace Initiative" smell far too much of appeasement... and failure. Who wants to vote for a failed party that can't even hold onto its existing members?
