Revelations that Habayit Hayehudi is recruiting state-funded religious Zionist institutions and hesder yeshiva students to work on election day are not surprising.
Every former hesder yeshiva student is familiar with the ritual: A few days before the election, one of "our" MKs arrives for a quiet chat with the boys – not in the central beit midrash (study hall) but in one of the classrooms or the dining hall. Of course, this chat certainly doesn’t come at the expense of Torah study time but at the beginning of a break.
