An Israeli man was lightly to moderately wounded Thursday evening in a shooting attack near the West Bank city of Ramallah.

The 40-year-old Kiryat Sefer man sustained a gunshot wound to the shoulder while driving on Route 446, when Palestinian terrorists opened fire on his vehicle from a passing car.

He was able to continue driving until he reached an Israel Defense Forces checkpoint near Na'alin, where he reported the incident to the army.

The man was taken to Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer for treatment. The IDF is searching the area in an attempt to capture the assailants.

The attack is the latest in a number of West Bank shootings in the past few months. In November, Palestinian terrorists opened fire on an Israeli car near the settlement of Kedumim, killing 29-year-old Ido Zoldan.

Then, in late September, Kiryat Arba residents Ahikam Amihai and David Rubin, both in their early twenties, were shot to death by terrorists while hiking near Hebron.
