An estimated 60,000 people visited Israel’s national parks and nature reserves over the weekend, taking advantage of the first sunny days after a week of wintry weather. Roads in the Upper Galilee and routes leading to the ski area on Mount Hermon, which opened to visitors and skiers, were particularly jammed. The ski slopes on Mount Hermon are expected to remain open for the rest of the week.
