Israeli City Officials Face Criminal Probes Over Lack of Disabled Access

This is the first time in Israel's history that a criminal investigation has been launched against local officials for failure to meet disabled-access requirements dictated by the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law

Dozens of senior officials from at least five local authorities have been undergoing a criminal investigation in recent months on suspicion of infringing the accessibility rights of disabled people and failing to implement regulations mandating disabled access, Haaretz has learned.
