60-year-old eucalyptus trees cut down after experts said they posed a danger to hikers at the Hula Nature Reserve.
The trees were rotting and posed a danger to the hikers who frequent the parking and rest area at the entrance to the Hula Nature Reserve, experts said. Still, it isn't easy to see huge, 60-year-old eucalyptus trees being cut down and their trunks carved up.
