IAF Helicopter Crash Occurred Due to Crack in Rotor Blade, Not Human Error

Fleet of Cobra helicopters, grounded since the March accident, is expected to be operational again in the next few days.

The Israel Air Force returned its fleet of Cobra helicopters to active duty on Friday morning for the first time since a crash last month killed two reserve pilots, Lt Col. Noam Ron and Maj. Erez Flexler.  An investigation into the incident determined that a crack in one of the rear rotor blades caused the helicopter to crash.
