Police busted an online gambling ring Wednesday, arresting more than 20 Israelis across the country on suspicion of illegal gambling, laundering money and evading taxes on tens of millions of shekels in undeclared income, Israeli media reported Wednesday.

Convenience stores owned by some of the suspects appear to have been used to facilitate the gambling and were searched during the arrest raid, along with suspects' homes, police said.

An undercover police investigation indicates that the gambling ring extends beyond Israel.

Police said funds have been transferred to another country, where the website's service center is located.
