Two dead, 14 injured in morning traffic accidents
In one accident, a man suffers a fatal heart attack and crashes into another car; in another, an ambulance collides with a car.
Two people died and 14 were injured on Israeli roads Monday morning in a series of traffic accidents.
One man, aged in his 50s, suffered a fatal heart attack while driving his car in Petah Tikvah, and crashed into another car.
At around 8 A.M., three cars collided at the Zorim intersection near Tiberias, killing a man in his 40s and lightly injuring two others. Meanwhile, in Tel Aviv, a pedestrian was severely injured when she was struck by a bus. The woman, aged in her 50s, was taken to Ichilov Hospital.
Approximately one hour later, a car collided with an ambulance at Sahar Shalid Intersection in Rosh Pina, leaving four people moderately injured. They were taken to the Rebecca Sieff Hospital in Safed. At the time of the collision, the ambulance was transporting a woman aged in her 70s to a hospital, where she was supposed to receive medical treatment.
At around 9:20 A.M., a pedestrian aged in his 70s was struck by a car on Histadrut Road in Haifa. He was taken to Rambam Medical Center with moderate injuries.
At about 10 A.M., a tractor and minibus collided on Route 90 near Kibbutz Afikim, leaving six students lightly injured.
