Ultra-Orthodox schools will continue to be exempt from meeting national standards on basic subjects like math, Hebrew and science, the High Court of Justice ruled Wednesday.

So the Courts have ruled that some tax supported schools have the constitutional right to deprive some citizens the right to a basic education that meets national standards in math, sciences and (unbelievably) Hebrew. Then, do not call them national standards. Call them a (sort of) national wish list, or whatever. National laws cannot be called national laws if they do not apply to everyone.
