Israeli professor's 'rape as terror deterrent' statement draws ire

Sad to see that your criticisms of the Israeli state have very little validity as to what you're "suggesting". It's always foolish statements as mentioned above that people like yourself have a tendency to spout, No notion of any valid proof at all to indicate any of the rubbish mentioned above is true. It's always easy to say the words you say, BUT in fact very difficult to prove those statents to be true.

I'm a jewish woman who thinks what this man said was disgusting, but i'm equally disgusted that you believe that Jewish thought processes are flawed. We have minds and hearts just like you. This man is saying something monstrous and awful and there are no excuses for it but what you are saying is no better.

Kedar described the sick culture in which the enemy live. It is well known that a perverted concept of "honour" makes people from these communities think it is ok to brutalise their women-folk. They live and die by different values to democratic systems. Kedar is talking about what deters them from committing sins against their fellow religionists, ie the knowledge that rape is an acceptable weapon of war amongst their societies. The morality of democracies, and their refusal to sink so low as the enemy, is seen by that enemy as a weakness.

Actually Ron, As someone who heard professor Kedar giving his opinion live, I would suggest that it is people like you who “contributes to anti-Semitism all over the world” when they comment about something they don’t have the slightest clue about. Professor Kedar explained that it is not easy to fight Muslim extremists whose mind sets work on the assumption that unless you raped his mother and sister in reprisal, he enjoyed a glorified death when he murdered your mother and sister. Rather than (as you suggest) recommending rape, professor Kedar used it to illustrate the difference between us and them. Them being Muslim extremists like Isil, Hamas, Hezbollah, Boko Haram… us being Professor Kedar, myself and most of the civilized world, though probably not including you.
