Samuel Sheinbein, the inmate who shot and wounded nine people in Rimonim Prison on Sunday before being shot to death by security personnel, had barricaded himself in the prison synagogue for over an hour last Thursday – three days before the fatal incident. He locked the door, did not allow worshippers to enter, and resisted when staff tried to remove him.
