Israel to send trauma experts to quake-struck Italy
Netanyahu tells Italian PM Berlusconi that Israel ready to send any aid his country requires.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi reached an agreement Wednesday for Israel to send a delegation of trauma experts to quake-struck Italy.
Berlusconi thanked Netanyahu after he offered his condolences and said Israel would offer any aid his country requires following the earthquake, which hit L'Aquila in central Italy on Monday and has claimed at least 250 lives.
Italian authorities said Wednesday that 11 bodies have still not been identified and 15 people are still thought to be missing.
Israeli medical student Hussein Hamada is believed to be among those still buried below the rubble of a student dormitory that totally collapsed when the quake struck.
