Israel outlaws Hamas-linked 'Reform and Change' party

Party originally banned in February by Defense Minister; Peretz declares two additional groups illegal.

By Aluf Benn

The annex of Hamas in Israel, the Reform and Change party, was declared illegal earlier this week.

The decision, which comes more than a year after Hamas won the parliamentary elections in the Palestinian Authority, was announced in the official government gazette, Reshumot.

Defense Minister Amir Peretz, who signed the original order banning the party on February 20, says he was "convinced that the Reform and Change party, or as it is know by its Arabic name, al-Aslah u' al-Ta'ayer, has for some time been part of Hamas. I henceforth declare that this organization, by whatever name it may appear, including its branches and support groups, is an unrecognized association, in the terms set by the emergency orders."

The order also requires that any individual holding property belonging to the party should inform the Defense Ministry, through the services of the senior deputy comptroller of the Finance Ministry, Arnon Eikan.

Peretz signed two other orders, against the Al-Afeq organization in Ramallah and the Mrah Rubah charity association, based in a village near Bethlehem. Both groups were declared illegal.

The two organizations are suspected of being fronts for Palestinian terrorist organizations in the West Bank.

    Don't Respond to "Palestinians"

It is not worthwhile to respond to those folk who assume the fictional identity of "palestinians." This label should be rejected for what it is-- a fiction, and therefore, there is no reason to respond to folks identifying themselves as such. They may sincerely believe this to be the truth, but, they may believe all they want and the truth will never change. If they are willing to identify themselves truthfully-- as Muslim Arab squaters seeking Israel's destruction (or their foolish Christian Arab sympathizers), then we may have a conversation. As for Hamas, its leadership should be continuously destroyed before achieving any measure of effectual service for the organization.

It is just that tyupe of igonorant thinking that keeps you in the state you are in. If you weren't a bunch of thugs hell bent on destroying Israel there would be no IDF incursions. You cant go all crazy and praise murderers publicly, go to a Mosque and pray for someones death and destruction, teach young children to hate their neighbors, and then blame everyone else for your problems. This is like when a little kid sneaks up on another bigger kid and smacks him in the head. Then the second one punches him to the ground so he stops. The first kid then says "poor me why did he hit me, everyone look how bad the big kids are". If you want to live in misery for the rest of your life go ahead throw your stones, pray for the devil to consume Isreal, and then die when Isreal finally can't take it anymore. STOP BEING SO IGNORANT.

Ahh, the brains of the Arab Terrorist group, coming from a man blown up with his cell-phone. The obvious diference between the fightesr in the Warsaw Ghetto and your very own dear Hamas, is that Hamas targets civilians, which is what makes it a terrorist group. The fighters in Warsaw ghetto fought against German soldiers attacking them. If Hamas was indeed a group that restricted its assaults to Israeli soldiers I could agreee that they were freedom-fightors or self-defense people. But they are not, they are terrorists, and as such deserve no pity as they get decimated like your beloved Yihye Ayyash.

Israel should pay attention not only to Hamas linked parties but also to Israeli organization that are virulent and by far mor destructive. Yesh Gvul, Be'tzelem, Gush Shalom, Shovrim Shtika, hacampus lo shotek and many other little groups are very destructive, unfair, unbalance, inaccurate egocentric and immoral. The Israeli government should check their financing. A non profit organization has to be registered and accurately reporting their activities, finances and connections. If they are not non profit organizations than they should pay income tax and their books should be checked for taxes. Israel needs "reform and change" in her attitude to dissenting groups while not curtailing free speech.

the problem here (as often seems to be the case with anti-israel folk) is that you base your stance on information received from arab governments that DO NOT HAVE FREEDOM OF THE PRESS - to westerners, your view looks like total ignorance - of course you are not unintelligent, but you appear that way, and your stance just looks like hatred and biased nonesense - your information does not come from free and critical news reporters, but rather is contrived propaganda issued from monarchies, theocracies, and pretend democracies - i assure you that FREEDOM of speech, religion, and press, EQUALITY for women and bisexuals, and real DEMOCRACY is beautiful and enlightening - for starters, though, (baby steps are ok) try NOT believing in propaganda issued by government owned news sources that jail and kill reporters who print news that differs from that stances - here is an idea, maybe use israel as a guide, like the fact that haaretz published your critical comments online . . .

from the stupid Peretz, who can't even use a binaculars? Besides, the killers of children and women and practitioners of apartheid are in moral position to lecture others on terror. Israel itself is based on terror and is the world's premier practiotioner of terror.
